Tuesday 22nd July - The first Pre Season match saw the YM going down 4-1 to Bangor Reserves in a tale of two halves. A great strike saw the Reserves go a goal ahead before the YM played the best football of the half, equalising before the break. Despite the result a fantastic effort by all involved. Match report to follow.

Thursday night sees the rest of the squad play away to Portavogie II's at Cloughy. Players to meet at Monroes at 6.00pm or at the pitch for a 7.00pm KO.

Training will resume for all those Not with Alan Finlay at the Valentines from 1.00pm on Saturday 26th. Alan Nixon will again be putting the boys through their paces and we will be joined by some of our Polish friends who we play against on Monday.

Pre Season Continues 

Go to Club Events now to see the club's Pre Season Training Plan. We have been able to secure some training with Alan Nixon who holds the top training badges in the country. The plan is subject to changes which will be updated as we confirm details.

All players are urged to commit to training and new players will be of course be made very welcome.

Monday 28th July sees a Polish select team play the YM in a friendly at Ards. Players will be notified over the coming weekend. The players are in N Ireland through Athletes in Action / Simon and Alan Nixon.

Ryder Cup 2008.

Simon Boyd, Club Captain for the forthcoming event requests that everyone wanting to be considered for this years team to contact him ASAP. Simon is keen to sort out his team early enough to get a couple of practice dates organised.  

Trailing 2-0 from the first two years Simon is keen to prevent the Old Enemy beating us for a third year in a row so get your name in early.
